Thanksgiving time!

As 2005 draws to an end, I would like to sincerely thank the following people who had impacted my life in 2005 in one way or another (warning, long entry ahead):

Thank you xiao(3) pang(4) and marky for bring there for me all these while. Though you 2 tend to desert me to chase some skirts (esp xiao pang), I shall be benevolent and forgive you guys. =P Oooops, I am supposed to be xiao pang’s image consultant and boost his standings amongst girls. Have I announce the fact that some girls have already placed him on their “to-watch” list? Lucky guy. Marky, thanks for all your advices thus far. Both of you will do well in life. I’m sure of it.

Thank you Pingwen, my buddy since er… yr 2? Your crappiness is top notch for a girl. Your x-mas card is still with me so claim it from me or otherwise it will be NEXT year’s xmas card. Heh…

Kai Jun, the ever on-the-surface-bubbly girl, take good care of yourself ya? Things can be really in the dumps sometimes but hey, what are friends for? Share ‘em and live life for the moment. =) Remember my Bloomberg notes ah… =P

A big thank you to ys, JIT, Jason, dap-finitely, ningzzz and irisIT. Thank you for being my study partners for the last examinations. Guess I can term this gang as the new friends that I had made in my yr 3 in NTU. Great and smart friends to be with. Mark these names. They are the next batch of leaders in their own chosen fields. Dun forget me when it happen hor!!

Rabbitblood, I will always be your friend. Don’t mumble about “having a dwindling circle of friends” ok? Firstly, I can’t hear you. Secondly, the next time you say that you MIGHT have a sack of carrots coming towards your head. Your jokes can be so “cheem” sometimes but it had been great with you sticking around. Good luck skirt chasing.

Wendee, know you won’t be reading my blog but what the hell. Chin up ok? Had seen your countless tears over the past few sems or so and everytime, when I think you are tired of crying, another round will begin. You can seem so wonderfully strong sometimes and yet, so wonderfully weak at times…

Another round of big thank you to Margaret, Jes, Von, Cyn, Rachy and KF (together with rabbitblood, xiao pang and marky) for all the fun and enjoyable times we had spent together. The x-mas gathering was fun! =)

And on a personal note, thank you to my family for taking care of me and providing for my physical needs all these while. But… you weren’t there for my emotional needs. Going back home simply translates to locking myself in my room to do my own stuff. Perhaps it’s just me but there had never been a conducive environment to share. Perhaps it had been a good thing, I have learnt to be independent and think of solutions whenever I have a problem. Dad and mum, no matter what path both of you choose or take; you’ll always have your children with you.

This entry is getting quite long so I shall end it soon. For those friends that are not mentioned, it does not mean you are forgotten. It simply means that you did not owe me enough money to make it to this list. Heh.. Kidding… I realize that there are lots more people whom I had not thank in this entry but believe me; I am full of gratitude to all of you from the bottom of my heart.

While we wait for the New Year to arrive, it’s always good to look back and reflect and give the appropriate thanks to people who matters to you, no?

Here’s a wonderful new year ahead and let’s drink to 2006. Cheers! =) And no hanky-pankies, hor JIT? =P

woots!!

Heh... If only this happen in real life... *dreamz*

WOOTS!! 20 tai(2) for xiao(3) si(4) xi(3) leh... Heh... A bit heng lah... Got a lot of the special tiles when I first "opened" hand. Haha.. A good prelude to chinese new year?? Hehehehe... $$$ come in come in...

Red like a lobster now. Went to sentosa earlier with my floorball club ppl for an afternoon of frisbee, beach soccer and captain's ball. There is a frisbee expert amongst us and he taught us a few tricks. Haiz... Frisbee throwing is so much science and skill. At least the frisbee didn't "wobble" too much today. =) The exit out of Sentosa was HORRENDOUS. The queue is soooo long. You name it, there will be a long queue for it. Toilet, waiting for bus etc etc... Make me wanna wish I drove to sentosa today. Er wait, I don't have a car. Anyone wanna lend me a car? I have PDL. No worries man!

"results are out!!"

That's the sms that I received from my buddy Pingwen yesterday during my lunchtime. My gut feeling was right that results will be out either on last sat or monday (yesterday).... And my gut feeling about my results was right....

Reported earnings were in line with the heavily reduced revised expectations announced a few weeks ago. Semester-on-semester growth was -200%. Speculations in the market is creating downward pressure on the price of "nomis" shares. Yesterday's high volume trading saw "nomis" market capitalization being shaved off by almost 50%.

According to a long-standing analyst of "nomis" share, he was unperturbed and unsurprised at the recent events: "Nomis share prices were seriously overestimated. Price to earnings ratio was more than twice the industry norm. The high share price can be attributed to luck as well as heavy reliance on past trends for future projections of earnings. However, this level of share price was unsustainable. There were over-expectations of future growth amidst a tighter and more competitive market. I expect share prices to dip even further over the next 6 months as the market tries to rationalise Nomis's true performance potential. "

Brokers scrambled to cut their losses and began to embrace the new darling shares of the stock market. Consensus recommendations are as follow:

Shares to hold: Wendee, JIT, Kacheng
Shares to buy: Rachy, Ningzzz, Snowman, Tunz
Shares to sell: Nomis

PwC it is

After weeks of mental turmoil and debates and after hearing countless advices, comments and opnions, I have decided to hedge my future with PwC audit. Reasons include inexperience and instability working environment should I choose EY Advisory. Guess this will not be the last time I hear about Advisory. Have asked my colleagues right now to remember to pull me back to PwC Advisory in 2 to 3 years time. Hehehe.... See how bah. Really unsure about my future career path. Envy those who are focused on what they want in life. Good luck to those ppl(esp to those who want to get into banks)!!!

Not much work to do today. 1 more hour to knock off timing. Some of the staff are REAL busy but they can't delegate any work to me despite me pleading for some work. Guess analysis stuff can't be delegated so easily bah... What to do? Do a bit of FYP loh... Haha....

Just gotten Pro Evolution Soccer 5 and Civilization IV. Can't wait to play 'em.

Results coming out in a few more days... Guess the games will come in handy when I coop myself in my room...

say whatever you want...

Something came to my notice a few days back. I used to have this "fren" whom we were in quite good terms a while back (at least according to me). You know how hurting it was to hear from someone that you were so very angry with me over this incident, Miss J? What's this about walking behind me on your way to your work place one day and being too weary and 懒得 to say hi to me? You know how sad and hurt I was after I came to know of this? I guess you probably think I deserve it anyway right? Well, there goes one "fren". Say whatever you want... Since you so very much do not want to see me, I will vanish from your sight next time. Why be a pest right?

100th entry!!!

Yay!! This is my 100th entry since I've started blogging. I know i know... it's a terribly long time to hit the 100th mark but hey, I do not have so much time like some ppl who can-blog-thrice-a-day-and-yet-get-such-good-results leh... Anyway, this is just for information sake.

Nice pictures galore for this entry to celebrate! Went C.V to eat some days back and these are the pics that I had wanted to blog but couldn't find time to do so. The food look nice right? *drooool* But you must be forewarned. The nasi lemak queue veeeery long. Think the malay stall operators are very rich man.

Got some thoughts on my mind but I think I better not blog it or it will spoil this 100th entry and mar the "celebration" intended. Will blog them (maybe) another day.
remember reading straits times (i think sat or sun version)?? there's always this interview with some ppl and they always ask him/her what his/her last meal would be. If i'm posed this question, this particular dish will DEFINITELY come out. laaadiess and gentlemen... C.V red tea longan. It's not only delicious, it has sentimental value as well. Remembered those commando days when I look forward particularly to this dessert almost everyday... Looks nice right? =) Posted by Picasa
trying to take a nice pic of a half-eaten meal. heh... Posted by Picasa
famous chicken chop kway teow... super deeeeeeelicious!! sigh... it's being so long since i'm back at C.V. 3 thumbs up.... Posted by Picasa
Changi Village Nasi Lemak!!! Erm... sorry lah.. was too hungry... so took a few yummy bites before taking this er.. yummy picture. =) Posted by Picasa
