Something wrong with blogspot??

Hmmm.. Hope this entry works. The interface for entry is a bit weird. I thought it was something wrong with firefox but it's the same with IE. Hmmm... Strange. There's a new blog in town and you guys can access it under my profile or something. It's created by idiots, oops.. idols, from NBS. Can go there once in a while to have a laugh but I doubt there will be any real and serious opinions being aired over there. Haha...

Friday's the dateline for quite-a-big-project. Sigh...

My October schedule is quite packed with recruitment talks that I had signed up. *checking my pda* Sigh... Thinking of wearing long sleeve shirts and pants makes me so sianz. Hope the speakers are interesting or what. Guess will be seeing a lot of similiar faces around the LT in the coming months.

Oh yah, I got the ICPAS scholarship!! Well, can't count the money until it had rolled into my bank account. Anybody know who else got it? Hmmm... Looks like they want to me to attend their D&D function. Zehan (last year recipient, this year NBS idol) was right! Who wants to tag along by the way? S$100 per pax!! Cheap cheap!! Free ride home in a taxi some more (using the $40 profit that I made)!! Haha...

OOOOO... Remember I lost my text to some sneaky thief right? I emailed my prof to ask him whether his spare copies are available for me to borrow and he gave (assumed)me a new book last Monday! 3 cheers for Prof Fock!! Saved $50 I think. =)

mixed feelings

Just checked the professional attachment interview result, I managed to squeeze into the list for PWC Advisory department. I think I most prob will be working with Trini in the same department (mergers and acquisition) since both of us were interviewed by the same interviewer. Congrats to Margaret who got in too (Remember I put my money on her? Apparently I didn't win anything cause the odds on her is too low) Congrats to Kaijun who got into PWC B-something. Congrats to Hanwei and Chee Wee for getting into PWC audit. I think that's the only good news in this entry. The rest of the entry will dull the happiness of this first news.

I felt sad for Ivan and Adrian who didn't get into PWC. You 2 are much better than me. =( Get a PA near Raffles so that we still can go for lunch ok? OR a drink after work. Ivan ah, remember that time you were spurned by NJC Science and in the end, you topped VJC commerce? You are meant for greater things.

I failed my 205 quiz. First time I failed anything in NTU. Reversal of my good luck in grades? As they said, feng shui lun liu zuan(english: everybody will have their turn for their share of luck). Perhaps a sign of things to come? Enough said about this point. Congrats to HJ who correctly predicted his passing score and to Wendy who do not always get her wish to fail something. How I envy her. =P

Marvin, recover soon. Your msn nick pains me.

To the guy/girl who stole my book. Congrats on breaking my lock and may our path cross one more time in future. I can forgive, but I do not forget. Mark my words.

Xue ren recover soon!

In HSS lib now in my new hidey hole. OOps. Guess it wun be a "hidey" hole after I post this up. Hmmm.. My 311 tutor say if you have a competitive advantage, must shut up leh. Should I post this? Hmmm... Wait a min, it's not a competitive advantage anyway. Hahaha... Lotsa things to do man!! Think ALL group B NBS Acc students can symphatise with me.

Waiting for PA results. *thump thump* Saw a bright, cheerful and radiant margaret chua along the corridors just now. My money's on her to get the job.

Xueren ah xueren. In case some of you guys don't know. He's none other than THE boss, Marvin. He's da boss cause he drives a mercs to school everyday (other than the day his car got "kissed" by a truck or something, which he bitched about it every other day) and well, he has the brains and the looks to be one. Anyway, here's to his speedy recovery. He's kind of quite ke-lian now; cannot talk and eat solid food due to a very recent operation to remove something-that-is-still-being-analyzed thing on his neck. According to him, they nearly cut off a nerve when removing that something. He can only eat semi-solid food now for his water and nutrients intake. That poor guy!!! Here's an appeal to everyone to help him in his work in case he's lagging ok? Poor danlin as well. Guess she's pretty tired and hyped up over the whole saga. *pat* Hope our Marvin recover soon and back to the crappy him!

On a totally unrelated note, I hereby curse the person who stole my advance bank management textbook from my NTU locker. I sincerely wish that your hands will rot, your eyeballs melt away and your skin become flaky and peel off. Amen.

what holidays?

Kaoz.

Who said we are having a holiday week now? From now on, it shall be called project week, perhaps so for yr 3s NBS students. Wanted to take some time off to rest this week but THERE IS NO TIME AT ALL!! Had numerous project discussions, taking cab from city hall to school, staying in access lab till 9 at night, spending the whole of my day sitting at my chair staring at the computer screen etc... Sigh.. What a sucky holidays. And this is my LAST hols left before I graduate!! My dec hols is going to be burned by my professional attachment.

Speaking about my professional attachment, I will be attending an interview with PWC on monday. Ritz Carlton did not shortlist me but well... Hmmm.. Hope I can get the job at PWC then. Margaret went for the interview already and she asked the interviewer whether she will get the job!!! Talking about being daring. The interviewer told her that he/she don't see why not!!! Wah... Highly suspect that the interviewer is a guy but well, I will keep my speculations to myself. Will I ask a similiar question on Monday? Hmmm.. I don't think so. I mgiht sound hostile and unfriendly, unlike Margaret; a smile from her can make (almost) any guy go weak in their knees. Heh...

Yippee, I got a scholarship!! I need the money man. Broke liao. Had been thinking of my total expenses since I entered university - excluding my laptop, I have spent over S$10,000!!! Really!!! Anybody who don't believe can come and ask me for the breakdown for my calculations. I am seriously underestimating even when I quote the figure!! Sigh...

Got a new pda as well. Heh.. Felt the heartache though.

True or not huh??

Your Birthdate: June 12

Being born on the 12th day of the month (3 energy) is likely to add a good bit of vitality to your life.

The energy of 3 allows you bounce back rapidly from setbacks, physical or mental.

There is a restlessness in your nature, but you seem to be able to portray an easygoing, sometimes "couldn't care less" attitude.

You have a natural ability to express yourself in public, and you always make a very good impression.

Good with words, you excel in writing, speaking, and possibly singing.

You are energetic and always a good conversationalist.

You have a keen imagination, but you tend to scatter your energies and become involved with too may superficial matters.

Your mind is practical and rational despite this tendency to jump about.

You are affectionate and loving - but very sensitive.

You are subject to rapid ups and downs.

How true is it?

"a restlessness in your nature" - true

"natural ability to express yourself in public" - untrue

"Good with words, you excel in writing, speaking, and possibly singing." - untrue or i would have joined singapore idol

"You have a keen imagination, but you tend to scatter your energies and become involved with too may superficial matters." - Huh? **looking up from the latest Harry Potter book**

"Your mind is practical and rational despite this tendency to jump about." - when it comes to money, or the lack of it

"You are affectionate and loving - but very sensitive." - I'm a SNAG man! (sensitive new age guy)

Thanks to Ivan for the link. (otherwise he sure complain I leech from him without crediting him again. Hahahaha...)

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

Today mark the second time I did not attend classes in my university life. SOb Sob... I overslept and missed both my classes today. Sob sob... And I'm still feeling damn tired. Damn.

Have been shortlisted for PWC Advisory but the competition for the few slots is super intense. Call me quick leh. I don't even know the interview timing and date as of now.

Going back to mug liao. *thinking aloud* Thinking of getting a PDA but it's going to be a heavy investment.

a rather serious blog

Today, we shall discuss a totally irrelevant topic of what song to put on my blog. I like "gravity" but I guess it's time to change a new song. Hmmm... I've discarded techno and trance and songs with similiar traits immediately as it will put off any readers. I think I am more afraid of the backlash when I view my own blog with my volume accidentally maxed out. Imagine the chaos that will ensue in my neighborhood.

Talking about chaos, it must be very chaotic in USA right now due to the natural disaster. But what saddened me was the total exposure of the flawed concept of civilization. Looting incidents (I don't blame some of them as it was an act of desperation but NOT those who wan to profit from the natural accident. There's this picture I saw somewhere in which there's these 2 guys driving away with their truck filled with nothing but beer and cigarettes. Hope they have a good time drinking and smoking. Hope they choke to death. ) are rampant but the worst is the numerous incidents of rape and/or murder reported. A survivor said that the women have to go to the toilet with a man for fear of being raped. Another eyewitness mentioned that they found a young girl raped and murdered in a bathroom and the man who is responsible was beaten to death by people who found out the incident.

All these highlight one thing. Law and order is a concept that must be enforced. Without enforcement, there will always be individuals and/or groups who will operate to seize the opportunity to live beyond the boundary of generally accepted definition of civilization. Perhaps there is a demon in all Man that is suppressed throughout the centuries through the concept of law and enforcement and this demon is unleashed now and then. I do not know how many of victims are going to see justice being served but I will feel that any "justice" will be hollow. The experience of losing someone and/or the trauma of the whole experience is something that even seeing the culprit being jailed for 50 years can never be erased. My heart goes out to everyone who is injured or killed by the unfortunate accident.

Er… So far very serious is it? Okok… Oh yah, my original topic was what song to choose to put on my blog. My sis had recently acquired some mp3s of the songs that were sung at the recent superstar (which is a program I didn’t watch at all). The songs not bad lah. Will put one of them for all to enjoy.

Hehe… Just caught up on the naruto anime! Started from episode 1 about 2 months ago and managed to watch episode 150 today!!! Can’t wait for 151 to come out. Heh.. Thanks to Pingwen and Hanwei who got me watching Naruto. =)

Sigh… No news about my professional attachment or my scholarship applications. Sigh… So sad… Dun think I will get any of them. .. Sad sad…
