Why people say blondes are dumb

Well, think millions of people have blog about this by now, esp those who had their eyes glued to the tv watching young tarts prancing around in Miss Teen America 2007. This young blonde from South Carolina was given the question "Why do you think 1/5 of Americans can't find USA on a map". Well, in the first place, this question already somehow demonstrated the intelligence level of the common American. BUT NO! Our dear friend must show that she's the cream of the crop.

Her 30 second answer to the question went like this "I personally believe that U.S. Americans are unable to do so because, uh, some ... people out there in our nation don't have maps and uh, I believe that our, ah, education like such as in South Africa, and, uh, the Iraq, everywhere like such as, and I believe that they should, uh, our education over here in the U.S. should help the U.S., or should help South Africa, it should help the Iraq and the Asian countries so we will be able to build up our future, for."

WTF. Instant stardom.

Injury

Went to play soccer with my fellow colleagues on Monday (at last! People who share my gender and interest. No more talks about P1 registration!) Though I must admit that it's the first time in my life that I'm playing with so many ang mohs. There's even one that looks like Zidane, kid you not. 5-a-side astro-turf pitch.

The last time I played on astro-turf pitch was at FICO which is a newly set up soccer center near Boon Lay. That time, all of us had fun sliding and tackling as we cannot (dare not) do so on our normal concrete haunt. THIS time, I thought I can do the same thing too and down I went and down my right leg skin went as well. A horrible patch of whiteness and redness formed but I thought nothing of it. Played on as normal, scored a few, assisted a few and went off happily to collect my stuff when the game ends.

That's when the realisation of the seriousness began. I poured water over the wound and was immediately rewarded with a deep sting. A glistening layer was forming over the wound and it turned out later to be brown and it hardened when dry. Saw a doctor the next day and was given 2 days MC.

At last count, I've changed dressing twice and both involved tugging at the bandage and I can really feel as if the doc is peeling off my skin to reveal the furious redness underneath.

Well, I can only hope i'll recover in time for the next soccer meeting on wed. =)

A silent re-entry

8 months. I was away from my personal blog for 8 months. And thanks to spammers, I have 20 comments on my last post selling me viagras. Thanks spammers. Hope you spam and die.

I'm sure even the most ardent reader had faded away by now and perhaps I am blogging to nothing but heck care. Happy 200th post to my blog. A quiet re-entry to mark a milestone. =)
